The Role
The Global Career Development Manager will skilfully utilise their knowledge and experience to design/source, champion and implement practical, engaging and effective Career Development solutions across all employee levels in all 120 Markets and Global Functions, in support of realising employee potential and enabling employee career progression.
The Global Career Development Manager will work within the Global Talent, Succession and Career Development Team. The role holder will have a track record of designing and delivering effective, practical career development interventions, across complex global businesses, with demonstrated return on investment.
Job Description
- Lead the creation, development and implementation of global career development solutions
- Create and manage a curriculum of global career development activities and initiatives.
- Identify and introduce the latest thinking into Career Development, ensuring strategic business alignment.
- Create a global framework for employees to self-assess and manage their own career development path, collaborating with the Global Head of Assessment (on designing the methodology for assessment) and the Learning and Capability team (on learning initiatives).
- In partnership with the Global Communications team, create a powerful narrative to increase engagement and understanding of Imperials career development offering.
- Facilitate effective career transition support at all leadership levels, up to and including senior leadership level, ensuring individuals receive the tailored support, coaching and development to optimise their performance in role, and readiness for next role.
- Determine and report on measures to track ROI and business impact of career development interventions Support the Global Talent Director in the delivery and execution of key Talent Management key activities, including supporting on Executive/Board level papers.
Key Capabilities
- Proven experience in identifying, designing/sourcing and implementing a range of practical, effective career development solutions across all levels of employee in complex global organisations
- Coaching colleagues at all levels in effectively promoting and utilising career development solutions
- Working collaboratively, gaining senior stakeholder and colleague engagement, commitment and buy-in to design and delivery
- Proven expertise in effectively measuring and demonstrating return on investment
