Contract Software Assurance Consultant - Remote

As a Software Assurance Consultant, you will be part of a team that provides Independent Technical Assessment of the software of safety-critical/related aircraft systems and provide advice on airworthiness issues related to those systems.

You will be working on the latest military platforms (including Typhoon) and will be key to the assessment of third-party software and/or software documentation for adequate safety and conformance to standards.

The 3 main skills we're looking for are:

1) Experience in the development of Embedded software (preferably Ada/C coding languages)

2) Safety-critical development experience (Defence Air Systems preferred)

3) Experience in the application of RTCA DO-178B/C or similar open safety standards (eg IEC 61508)

Please be aware that this is a Safety Assurance not Quality Assurance role (nor is it a Test or Verification and Validation role). The role is an Independent Software Safety Assurance Consultant role requiring fully suitable experienced consultants in software or safety-critical assurance.
