Senior Mechanical Service Engineer
£50-£60 per hour under umbrella

A pioneering engineering firm based in Bristol are urgently looking for a Senior Mechanical Service Engineer. They're working at the forefront of the defence technology industry and this role will see you playing a key role on a complex tactical communications system to enhance the required defence capabilities and critical assets.

The role will involve managing the technical Deliverables of the mechanical services engineering packages in the line with the planned deliverables agreed by the mechanical services engineering lead.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage one or more technical design packages agreeing project related objectives, managing designer performance, and making appropriate technical management responses. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice as per discipline.
  • Make sure the design documentation is created in accordance with established standards, timelines, and budgets, and that it encompasses the scope of operations as requested by the project manager.
  • Make sure that the Business Management System and Technical Manual are followed to operate and supply effective Quality Management Arrangements.
  • Within SQEP profile, supervising, preparing and/or checking designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant, facility, and equipment within the company's licensed, authorised, and operational sites, or in support of external contracts.
  • Support development, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of all Facilities to ensure that they comply with the design intent and DNSP's for Nuclear related Works, together with all relevant Local and National Regulations and Legislation.
