Reporting Analyst (Power BI)

Hybrid - With some travel to Cambridgeshire

Up to £28,000 base + excellent benefits package

The Reporting Analyst is integral to delivering timely, accurate, and insightful reports for the business. This involves collecting data from various sources, in multiple formats, and compiling it to generate reports suitable for the intended audience. The role emphasises the importance of identifying data conflicts and patterns to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and the creation of optimal datasets for reports. The Reporting Analyst may also contribute to cross-functional projects, ad-hoc report building, and presentations for the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and maintain accurate reports within agreed timelines.
  • Analyze raw data to generate new datasets and reports.
  • Highlight data issues to the Reporting Lead.
  • Provide solutions for ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to capture new reporting requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications, with a focus on data handling, including SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Data-driven degree (eg, Mathematics, Economics, Financial Sciences) or demonstrable experience in analysing complex data sets.

Essential Attributes:

  • Analytical mindset with a passion for data and a solution-focused approach.
  • Methodical and quality-driven with a high attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written, with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive, sound, and impartial decision-maker, capable of identifying improvement opportunities and collaboratively delivering them.

As the Reporting analyst you will have:

  • Accountability for actions, exercising good judgement, and adhering to values, standards, and policies.
  • Responsibility to ask questions, take action when inconsistencies arise, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
  • Compliance with information security and data protection policies, ensuring the protection of information assets and adherence to relevant procedures.
