Cyber Security Analyst - Security Monitoring - Penetration Testing - SIEM - CISSP

My client who are leaders in their field are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst who will monitor, analyse, and respond to security incidents and events, as well as implement and maintain security measures and software.

Responsibilities:

• You will also conduct threat research, risk assessments, and arrange penetration tests to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our systems and networks.
• You will be responsible for actively protecting critical data, the perimeter, networks and applications and business operations.
• Assist with expanding security monitoring across the entire infrastructure spectrum and critical applications covering tool deployment, operational runbooks, effective detection, reporting and metrics.
• Engage with outsourced security operations service providers and assist with the management and tailoring of their service.

Skills/Experience:

• You should have an understanding of Firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, EDR, XDR and IDPS concepts.
• Experience of security monitoring, alerting, use case development, detecting and responding to cyber threats and incidents.
• Certifications such as CySA+, Security+, Network+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security, CISSP, CCSP advantageous
• Knowledge of common cyber security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, CIS, or SOC 2
• Good understanding of network technologies, application security and security principles
• The ability to actively participate in Cyber Security Incident practice tests.

The role is based in London and operating in a hybrid working model (3 days a week in the office)
