About The Role:
Our Client are currently seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in FortiGate to join our client's team on a 6-month contract. This role involves a hybrid working arrangement with 2/3 days per week onsite in the beautiful Somerset region.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Network Security Engineer specializing in FortiGate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and resilience of our network infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will include:
FortiGate Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of FortiGate to design, implement, and manage network security solutions.
Network Security: Implement and maintain effective security measures to safeguard our network against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Firewall Configuration: Configure and optimize FortiGate Firewalls, ensuring they align with industry best practices and organizational security policies.
Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, promptly addressing and mitigating security incidents.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate FortiGate solutions into our overall network architecture.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of FortiGate configurations, security policies, and incident response procedures.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, with a focus on FortiGate.
In-depth knowledge of configuring and managing FortiGate Firewalls.
Expertise in implementing and maintaining network security solutions.
Strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to address potential vulnerabilities.
Experience in incident response and the ability to mitigate security incidents.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
