Lead Java Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll collaborate with a skilled team of developers in an agile development environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and driving projects and enhancements.
• Mentoring and providing support to fellow software engineers in quality techniques.
• Playing a key role in creating client proposals with a specific focus on technical architecture.
• Introducing and implementing new technologies and processes within the engineering team.
• Designing, coding, and thoroughly unit testing software.
• Maintaining a strong connection with the Product Manager, development team, and stakeholders.
• Identifying areas for improvement in critical components and processes.

The successful Lead Java Software Engineer will have:

• A robust background with at least 8 years of experience in commercial Java software development
• A track record of at least two years as a Lead Software Engineer, including mentoring.
• Solid experience in solution architecture for cloud-based solutions.
• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Deep understanding of best software engineering practices.
• A strong commitment to quality, encompassing design, process, documentation, and testing.
• Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and tenacity.
• Familiarity with working in agile environments.

Any of the following would be an advantage.

• Knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux), hosting environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure), and various programming languages (C#, C++, Python).
• Experience in migrating traditional on-premises solutions to cloud-based solutions.
• Previous involvement in delivering cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with the cybersecurity domain and secure by-design principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of specific tools and technologies like Gradle, Git, Spring, HTML5, and more.
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly in the medical or aerospace industry.
