Adecco engineering are delighted to represent our market leading client and have an opening for a Shift maintenance engineer (Electrical Bias) to work on a shift basis however they may also consider applicants seek day shift only.

The role is an initial 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent.

About the role:

The Shift Maintenance Engineer is fundamental in supporting the operations and maintenance team by applying Engineering and Electrical support to maximise the availability of the equipment and plant.

Duties include:

Maintenance, Service and Repair of Electrical/Mechanical equipment.

Resolve any maintenance issues, reporting any incident to the Line Manager.

Update systems and work orders when required.

Support Electrical/Mechanical projects.

Adhere to Health and Safety and safe working practices.

Set out priorities and work plans.

Liaising and prioritising with shift managers.

Ensure effective communication for shift handover logs/checklist and site interactions.

Support on call rota if/when required.

Desired Skills and qualifications:

Educated to HNC level or equivalent in electrical engineering discipline.

Experience gained in manufacturing environment - process/chemical environment - preferred.

PLC experience and CompEX certification - desirable

Experience of Scada Control Processes - preferable.

Knowledge of Permit to Work Systems - COMAH site experience desirable.
