Minimum Requirement:

Very Strong NodeJs
Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns
Strong understanding and experience of Database technologies in particular Mongo DB
Strong understanding and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures
Good understanding of CI/CD and Gitlab Pipelines
An understanding of AWS Infrastructure and Terraform
Part of an agile delivery team, responsible for the delivery of a number of applications (Remittance, Payment Dates)

Summary of the Role and key responsibilities:

Senior software engineer is critical to progress work on this team. These services are part of AME Payments, required in the delivery of DWP Strategy/ARA. Without this additional skill set there will be delays in delivering the service, which will have a detrimental impact on dependent consuming services. We also need to bolster the capacity/capability within that team and improve their skill sets overall to avoid additional costs and technical debt for the future.
