My client are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team and protect their organisation from attacks. You will monitor, analyse, and respond to security incidents and events, as well as implement and maintain security measures and software. You will also conduct threat research, risk assessments, and arrange penetration tests to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our systems and networks.

Assist with expanding security monitoring across the entire infrastructure spectrum and critical applications covering tool deployment, operational runbooks, effective detection, reporting and metrics.

Engage with outsourced security operations service providers and assist with the management and tailoring of their service. The service providers cover technologies, such as Anti-DDoS, Intrusion Detection, Penetration Testing and Security Monitoring.

This role would be ideal for someone with at least 3 years of experience in Cyber Security or a related field, You should also have a strong knowledge of the cyber security threatscape and the latest security trends and tools. You should have an understanding of Firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, EDR, XDR and IDPS concepts and experience of security monitoring, alerting, use case development, detecting and responding to cyber threats and incidents.

Experience Required:

• 3 years of experience in Cyber Security
• Certifications or degrees in Cyber/Information Security or Computer Science are of advantage but not essential
• Certifications such as CySA+, Security+, Network+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Security, CISSP, CCSP advantageous
• Good understanding of network technologies, application security and security principles
• Knowledge of common cyber security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, CIS, or SOC 2
