Lead Devops Engineer
Brighton, Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days from home

£80k, PLUS 10% bonus & benefits

Experienced Lead Devops Engineer required to join leading online marketplace. You will design, build, and support their global E-commerce platform, solving interesting tech challenges using the latest cloud technologies (AWS).

The Role

• You will champion security standards and best practices and will work with others to remove impediment and diagnose/prevent incidents.
• Use progressive practices like automated deployments and continuous delivery to release every day, multiple times a day.
• Use innovative technologies to create products that will simplify the user process.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the DevOps pipeline and ensure smooth deployments.
• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services that support their applications and microservices.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins to automate the deployment process, ensuring efficient and reliable releases.
• Ensure the security of systems and applications through best practices, regular vulnerability assessments, and compliance with industry standards.
• Use tools to manage server configurations and ensure consistency across environments.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to DevOps processes, infrastructure, and configurations.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and the .NET technology stack.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Terraform, Consul, Puppet, Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, and DataDog.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (eg, Docker, Kubernetes. ECS) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• AWS and DevOps certifications are Desirable but not essential.
