Reed Technology are delighted to be working with a highly regarded Bath based organisation with their search for a Cyber Security Operations Manager.

Within this pivotal role the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the security operations team to protect and safeguard all digital assets across the organisation

Key Responsibilities:

- Working closely with partners and third parties, managing all aspects of security operations, managed detection and response, incident response retainers, and threat intelligence
- Utilizing technical expertise to resolve complex problems
- Contributing and reviewing to cyber security strategy and establishing a programme of security operations performance metrics, enable decisions to be made on sound data and through robust analysis.
- Providing regular updates on security operations and perceived threats to executive management.
- Establish and maintain a vulnerability management programme and ensure all devices, applications and infrastructure are appropriately patched and maintain security posture

The Successful Candidate:

- Highly technical with strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of various security risk and assurance practices including in depth knowledge of security controls frameworks: ISO 27001/Cyber Essentials/NIST CSF/NIS/CIS Top 20/OWASP
- A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies and how to negotiate their inclusion without alienating or frustrating affected teams
- Broad technical knowledge and experience of various security tools, including SIEM, MDR, Endpoint Protection, Threat Intelligence, how to configure them and interpret the output
- Experience using vulnerability management tool Tenable/Qualis/Tanium/Pentara
