Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Data Lead to join our client, a small start-up bank, on a permanent basis!
You will set the data strategy and design for the business around the way it ingests data sources from third parties to support the business. You will also be the data lead on the cloud design programme, to meet business objectives and programme deliverables, defining the data engineering policies and frameworks required.
Experience will include:
- Proven experience in architecting and engineering data analytics platforms on Snowflake using technologies like, SQL Servers, Data lakes, DBT transformations, Orchestration platforms and other automation ETL processes and services
- Experience with Front End Reporting tools, Power BI
- Must have experience working within AWS Cloud environments
- Financial Services experience is also a must have
- Experience and understanding of development frameworks, engineering operating models using DataOps principles, and cloud engineering
- Proven track record of working with agility, evidencing experience or extensive knowledge of concepts such as design thinking, DataOps, agile development and CI/CD
- Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and all that it entails
- Significant experience in data engineering and leading associated technical teams
- Must have a wealth of Datamodelling experience - Creation of conceptual, logical and physical data models - 10 years+
- Strong leadership skills and experience, with emphasis on carrying out projects in a Matrix organisation and ability to build consensus across different stakeholder groups
- Consistent track record of aligning with and collaborating across Technology teams to design and deliver scalable data solutions
- Experience creating data pipelines, improving data workflows, and building comprehensive
