Azure Services Manager - Perm - Remote - 80k

My client a large Insurance broker is looking for an experienced Service Manager who has in depth knowledge of azure products and solutions. The role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment, maintenance and optimization of Azure cloud services.

You will need clear communication as you will be dealing with stakeholders and expected to relay technical terms back to the business in ways they understand. Creation of roadmaps and staying up to date with current capabilities is a key requirement. You will be expected to identify how/why the business is undertaking a certain project and explain if they are doing it in the right way.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing Azure strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Managing the deployment and configuration of Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• Ensuring that the organization's Azure environment is secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
• Monitoring Azure services to ensure that they are running smoothly and addressing any issues as they arise.
• Staying current on the latest developments in Azure technology and making recommendations for future improvements.
• Developing and maintaining Azure governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Developing and managing Azure budgets and tracking costs.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, its services, features, and functionalities.
• Experience deploying, managing and monitoring Azure solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud computing architecture, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in delivering Azure solutions.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, and experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in defining and implementing Azure infrastructure and operations policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting for cloud services and expenses.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Azure services and infrastructure.
• Experience in conducting root cause analysis and taking proactive measures to prevent and resolve issues.
• Experience in managing Azure services in a large-scale, multi-tenant environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to cloud computing and data security.
• Project Management Experience: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, plan and execute projects, and ensure timely delivery of results.
