Analytics Engineer
Creative SaaS
Funding: Seed Stage ($6m)
£80,000-90,000 (+additional benefits)
London - Flexible remote working policy
I'm exclusively supporting a digital arts platform to find its first data hire. The company enables creative the ability to collaborate remotely. They've recently achieved their seed funding ($6M) and are looking to establish data analytics processes to promote data-driven business decisions.
Your role will be integral to setting up their BI stack, identifying low-hanging fruit through exploratory analysis, and then setting the technical direction of Analytics and Engineering. You could expect this role would rapidly become a Head of BI or Principal Analytics Engineer (IC).
You could expect to engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite; define KPIs and metrics, set up a reporting layer, support with ETL and modelling, and conduct exploratory analysis on 1 billion rows of data associated with their 1 million users.
So what am I looking for?
- A minimum of 4 years of commercial experience working as a technical Data Analyst or Data Engineer
- A desire to work autonomously and set up a BI strategy from scratch
- Commercial experience using modern ETL tools (Fivetran, Matillion, Python, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Stitch, etc)
- Commercial experience using modern data visualisation tools (Looker, Metabase, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Redash, etc)
- Experience within a fast-growing start-up/scale-up is highly desired
- Knowledge or interest in the arts or gaming industry is ideal
- Strong stakeholder management experience (ideally with C-suite)
- Strong Datamodelling experience (ideally using DBT but SQL will be considered)
- SQL (DBT is a big plus!)
- The ability to manage competing requirements
