Synergize Consulting Ltd has partnered with our international defense client in the search for a dynamic Combat Systems Engineer!
About the Role:
As a Combat Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the Integration, Test, and Trials phase of cutting-edge defense systems, focusing on maritime environments. This role offers a unique chance to make a real impact on critical defense projects.
Salary: up to £50,000 plus corporate benefits
The role is based in Scotstoun but will require an 18-month secondment to Portsmouth which is offered on a hybrid basis.
Expenses for this are covered by the business.
Due to the nature of the role and project, an active SC Clearance is required.
Key tasks:
Generate, deliver, and review Acceptance, Assurance, and Integration Trials documentation.
Conduct analysis and formal reporting of acceptance, assurance, and integration trials.
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and testing to ensure system interface cable continuity.
Conduct data recordings and analysis to support integration evidence capture.
Compile and present Acceptance and Assurance evidence in comprehensive Trials Reports.
Provide specialist engineering expertise to support Delivery Managers and the wider Trials team.
Utilize and contribute to the development of Trials Management, Observation Reporting, and other database toolsets.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
Extensive knowledge of Combat System Equipment in Maritime Environments.
Proven experience in Combat systems trials and/or operational environments.
Ability to generate Integration Trials documentation from Requirements and Interface Specifications.
Proficiency in conducting CS Trials Schedules, analysis, and reporting results.
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience using CS Integration tools (eg, SAINTT, TRACIT, TACS) and other Test Equipment.
Understanding and ability to manipulate CS Design and Trials information within database toolsets (System Architect, DOORS, RQM, JIRA).
