Senior Developer in .NET/C#/Blazor/Azure for a cutting edge investments organisation. You will be required to engage with the business and senior stakeholders within it, as well as some mentoring of junior developers.

Description

• Responsible for gathering requirements from business users, analysing the data, and presenting a solution that is fit for purpose
• Responsible for the design, test and build of software solutions, and is expected to own the Quality Assurance processes
• Provide technical consultancy and expertise to other teams across the directorate and organisation
• Responsible for the review and maintenance of all aspects of the technology that is used within Investment
• Where 3rd party applications/software have been used, the role is responsible for ensuring that any updates are applied in a timely fashion
• The role requires that there is accountability not just in what is produced in house, but that external systems are evaluated for their suitability
• Subdivide complex applications during the design phase into smaller, more manageable pieces
• Upgrade and maintain existing software
• Maintain monthly release process to the UAT and Production environments
• Maintain data feeds from external resources
• Ensure that all proposed solutions are both scalable and extensible
• Take full ownership of all assigned projects: the role will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, build and testing of any application/module that is developed.

Profile

The role requires in depth knowledge of Object-Orientated Programming practices and multi-tier application development as well as the entire software development life cycle.

Extensive experience of the following technologies:

• Programming Languages (essential): C#
• Development Frameworks: Blazor
• Programming Languages (nice to have): F#, VB/VBA, Java, JavaScript
• GUI Frameworks: WPF, WinForms
• Communication Layers: WCF, MVVM
• Databases: SQL Server
• Data Frameworks: Entity Framework
• Development Tools: Visual Studio, Telerik (or equivalent)
• Quant Software: Excel, R
• Testing Frameworks: NUnit
• Platform: Microsoft Azure

The employee will need to have experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment and will have in-depth knowledge of User Interface design.

The successful candidate will also have extensive experience of the financial industry and in particular focusing on Financial/Quantitative modelling
