Senior Java Developer - Greenfield Cash Equities Trading Platform

Our European Investment Banking client is looking to hire Senior Engineers with strong Java experience to work on a greenfield re-build, from scratch, of their eTrading equities systems.

The team is looking for multiple developers with concrete experience working in a Front Office trading desk, ideally within the Equities space, who can provide value from day-one. The successful candidates will play a major role in the re-build of the Back End engines, and will be looking for strong low latency & Multithreading experience.

It's a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a multi-year greenfield body of work, aligned closely with Front Office trading and delivering state of the art, in-house platforms within Equities trading. The team are also considering the modernisation of their OMS & EMS platforms, which are in use for complex & sophisticated workflows.

The successful candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in Java, ideally on low latency, multithreaded trading applications.
• Strong exposure to Front Office trading platforms, ideally within Cash Equities
• Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable in Front Office trading environment
• Previous experience working on Cash Equity OMS/EMS platforms is an advantage
• Understanding of SQL & Linux databases
• Cloud exposure & Kubernetes experience are an advantage
