Project Finance Lead

Remote with Ad Hoc Travel

Permanent

Up to £45k

An excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, growing and friendly team in a Financial Services company as a Project Finance Lead.

The role will be managing project budgets, reporting, embedding control process and working with Finance Business Partners and Project Managers to ensure they are aligning to project governance. Ensuring the PMO function deliver the change required within the agreed budget.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Raising purchase orders in line with agreed project spend, raising accruals and payment of invoices.
  • Maintain the project cost tracker template and process, providing support to the project managers as required
  • Work alongside the PMO function to support change control and stage gating processes to understand impact on financials.

For this role you should have:

  • Strong financial awareness - (budgeting, purchasing, capitalisation rules)
  • Qualified Accountant or working towards qualification.
  • Advanced MS Excel experience necessary - Power Query and VBA experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent level of attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in a similar role with a sound understanding of project
  • Resilient with ability to challenge where necessary.
