Scala Developer-Fully Remote-£50k to £70k DOE

My client are revolutionising the music tech industry and are currently looking for a Scala Developer to join their expanding team at a key point in the journey of scaling up.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Back End systems using Scala.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Implement best practices in software development, ensuring code quality, and participating in code reviews.

- Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Requirements:

- At least 4+ years experience as a Scala Developer or in a similar role.

- Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming principles.

- Experience with Akka, Play Framework, and other Scala frameworks.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with build tools such as SBT.
