Head of Consolidation

We are supporting a very well-established organisation, that is a household name.

This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

This is hybrid 2 days per week, either in Manchester office - based on your preference.

The salary for this role £65K to £85K basic per annum, alongside a benefits package.

You must be a fully qualified Accountant to be considered for this opportunity.

The Focus:
This role reports to the Global Head of Reporting and will have 3 direct reports in the Consolidation team

This is a key role within the team and will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of the Group consolidation on a monthly basis. The role will manage 3 direct reports.

The responsibilities for the role are:
  • Responsible for the monthly FCCS Group Consolidation
  • Preparation of the monthly consolidation pack including balance sheet commentary
  • Line manage, coach and mentor a team of 3 Financial Accountants
  • Preparation of monthly Cash Flow Statement in FCCS
  • Manage relationships with subsidiaries including problem solving during the monthly close
  • Managing teams training requirements for FCCS
  • Responsible for timely preparation of forecasts, budgets and 5 year plans for relevant areas
  • Maintain good working relationships with all accounting teams across the Group
Requirements:
-Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 7 years' PQE
-Must have a background in multi-currency group consolidations
-Must have consolidation system experience such as FCCS, SAP or similar
-Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
-Must have experience managing a team
-Strong influencing skills with the ability to create and sustain strong relationships across varying stakeholders
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-Experience of working with multiple global subsidiaries with the ability to provide guidance and support
-Ability to identify and drive through improvements (systems & process)
