Department/Job Overview:

A dynamic and challenging position within operations mid-office in COO area of asset management. A team of specialists supports the entire portfolio management in managing client portfolios and funds, from post execution, settlement to reporting.

The trade processing team is one of the team (15 members) in Portfolio Services COO area. Other teams: Derivatives Ops, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Reporting, Performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership for the entire post-trade-processing on securities, the foreign exchange transactions and derivatives for our globally managed funds and client portfolios
  • Ensure a smooth pre-matching for securities in Central Trade Monitor (CTM by DTCC) and FX transactions via Swift
  • Ensure timely trade confirmation and settlement of exchange traded, cleared and bilateral derivatives and investigate differences in close collaboration with our portfolio management, trading desk and counterparties.
  • Initiate trade instructions via Swift and monitor all transactions until settlement with the relevant brokers and custodians
  • Ownership of reconciliation and instruction of daily margin calls with various clearing brokers, as well as overseeing the life cycle events of derivatives.
  • Assure trade instructions are sent to fund administrators and other stakeholders
  • Manage instructions and settlement for funds, especially the Credit Suisse Investment Funds (CSIF)
  • Contact point for internal and external stakeholders for all questions arriving from order routing, confirmation and settlement, troubleshooting in case of any investigations in cooperation with the portfolio management, execution desk, brokers and custodians
  • Setup new products with portfolio management, product management and project team
  • Actively support the enhancement of the settlement platform, implement additional controls and measures to increase quality and efficiency

Qualifications

Experience Level:

  • Senior, expert in securities operations and other transactions

Education

  • A completed Banking & Finance Certificate or/and equivalent Commercial University Degree

Essential Skills:

  • 10+ years working experience in a transactions processing area of an asset manager or a custodian bank (settlement or mid-office) and proven experience in securities, foreign exchange transactions and Swift
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, any other language is an asset
  • You are committed to act as a team player with a high level of flexibility and initiative
  • You show a high degree of structured working, independency and self-organization
  • Ambition to drive a growing business in a steadily growing work environment
  • Experience with Aladdin by BlackRock is an added value
  • Good MS Office-Skills

Desired Skills:

  • Fluency in German and English
  • A completed Banking & Finance Certificate or/and equivalent Commercial University Degree
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (Formulas, macros & data base is an added value)
  • Being pro-active and things resolved ASAP
  • Holistic view on settlement, transaction processing and counterparty management
  • Project ability
  • Well organized and fast understanding
