Staff Engineer, React, Typescript

Up to £120,000 + Bonus + Car allowance

London Hybrid, 2 days per week

Well-known Digital Marketplace is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their expanding London-based team to coach and mentor a software team and assist with achieving strategic goals and high-level technical decisions. They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced software specialist at Staff Engineer level who is well versed at performing in a team that is rapidly scaling up. The Role

As a Staff Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

• Systems design, architecture and problem-solving
• Mentor and coach the team
• Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
• Outlining technical roadmaps
• Pushing technical direction
• Supporting high performance technical teams and pushing them to be better

Essential YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Significant experience as an individual contributor across a variety of technologies
• Mentoring and coaching experience
• 5 years + in Experience with Node and Typescript (Back End focus)
• Commercial experience as a Lead/Staff/Chief/Principal Engineer
• Significant Full stack development experience
• Experience with Cloud
• Experience with Software engineering best practises and the full software engineering life cycle
• Architecture, road mapping, strategy and growth experience
