Systems Engineer
Hybrid/Rugby, 30,000- 35,000 plus generous benefits
If you have a good understanding and knowledge of VMware, Microsoft SQL and WAN technologies, this could be the perfect role for you.
This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to the Rugby office.
You must meet the UK residency requirements to undergo Security Clearance 3 years minimum

What you will do Do
Undertake routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and/or software. Take action to ensure targets are met within established safety and quality procedures, including, where appropriate, handover to the client. Conduct tests of hardware and/or software using supplied test procedures and diagnostic tools. Correct malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources if required. Documents details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed.
Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems and services. Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
'specify user/system interfaces, and translate logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Produce detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
What you will need:
Experience in at least one of the following: API design and development, performance analysis and capacity planning, SQL and NoSQL database design and development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), Azure public cloud services, test-driven development (TDD)
Experience with web infrastructure and distributed systems; Background on services and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services) a plus
Knowledge of coding and service development skills using Java

Fundamental Knowledge of System Level Design
Fundamental Knowledge of VMware and NSX
Fundamental Knowledge of Microsoft Server Family including core Servers, High availability always on clustering, IIS (web hosting), Application Request Routing, files shares.
