Modelling & Simulation Engineer
Lynx Recruitment is working with a cutting-edge energy technology company looking for an experienced Modelling and Simulation Engineer to join our client's team in Crawley and lead in developing electrochemical models of their innovative fuel cell stacks and systems.
In this role, you will:
- Perform CFD and multiphysics modelling for our electrochemical devices including fuel cells, flow batteries, sensors, and electrolyzers
- Lead electrochemical modelling focused work packages
- Lead traditional CFD work packages (heat/mass/momentum)
- Integrate electrochemical and CFD modelling
- Collaborate with design team to understand needs and explain modelling results
You should have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Extensive experience with COMSOL Multiphysics
- Expertise in mechanical modelling, CFD, and heat/mass/momentum transfer
- Ability to work independently and communicate across teams
- Experience with Ansys Fluent, electrochemical modelling, and fuel cells/electrochemical systems is a plus.
