Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Salary - £60,000 to £70,000

Fully Remote - Occasional visit to office in Cardiff

With 25 years my client is a highly reputable, valued partner for the most recognisable brands within their industry, they are now experiencing a period of growth much faster than my client could have predicted. My client and I are working together to find a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team which is growing exponentially.

As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will work in a fast paced environment, ensuring our clients customers are at the heart of everything the organisation do.

The Role:

You will be responsible for millions of transaction on a daily basis and managing the hosting infrastructure at their data centre.

Skills and Experience:

• Managing, troubleshooting and administration of large SQL Server Databases
• Using VMWare virtualisation technology to manage large virtualised infrastructure.
• Load balancing, scaling, automation and networking
• PowerShell Scripting writing and maintenance
• Mentoring, management and coaching team members
• Supporting web applications - Windows Servers or Linux
• Data Centre Management - Cooling, Power and Hardware
• Deployment, management and cost optimisation - Cloud hosting options (Azure)
• Supporting internal teams - Windows desktop, Office 365 and Active Directory
