Global Category Manager vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based company in the pharmaceutical sector.

Your tasks:

• Developing and implementing procurement strategies for various categories
• Leading cross-functional project teams to create added value within the categories
• Analyzing complex financial data using TCO, TEI, NPV, and cost modelling
• Managing procurement processes and contract management
• Adapting to an ever-changing, complex environment and contributing to process improvement

Your experience/knowledge:

• 7+ years of in-depth strategic and operational procurement experience with a strong understanding of category management
• 7+ years of overall business experience, including working within a regulated industry
• Strong sub-category expertise and a proven track record in sourcing
• Capability of leading cross-functional project teams to generate material value across multiple categories
• Direct experience in managing category management projects and developing sourcing strategies
• Proven financial and business acumen, including TCO, TEI, NPV, and cost modelling, as well as exceptional communication and project management skills

Your soft skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively is crucial for working in cross-functional project teams and for success in negotiations, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management
• Willingness and ability to adapt to an ever-changing and complex environment and contribute to process improvement demonstrate adaptability
