Title: Powertrain Performance Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the development of a brand new, next-generation, all-electric aircraft that is set to completely revolutionise the future of cross-country travel in the coming years. This cutting-edge, futuristic concept combines the two key factors of convenience and sustainability by developing digital platforms and green power technology.
My client is now urgently looking for a Powertrain Performance Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the verification test campaign for the performance of the propulsion system or sub-systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define and support system validation activities, including certification (EASA Sc E19 Subpartd)
- Close cooperation with the test engineers responsible for the different propulsion test rigs
- Support propulsion unit or engine test preparation and commissioning activities
- Drive day-to-day decisions to ensure quick execution of tests and on-time delivery of results.
- Close cooperation with the engineers developing the electrical machine, power electronics and control systems
Requirements:
- or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required.
- 3-5 years experience as a performance engineer involved in test campaigns for R&D, validation and verification, ideally on electrical machines or electrical powertrain.
- Able to coordinate tasks and interface with complex multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects (production, test engineers, specialists)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including experience in root-cause analysis activities.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink required.
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team and be autonomous.
- Dynamic and positive personality
- Fluent English language skills are essential.
