The role -
- You will be actively contributing to the improvement of the Quality Assurance and engineering practices.
- Supporting teams to implement new tools and quality practices and models such as test first/shift-left, the testing pyramid, and Agile testing quadrants.
- Supporting and implementing CI/CD practices and deployment strategies that will enable confident release of software and protect client systems from unplanned downtime.
- You will be responsible for identifying and accurately document defects ensuring any patterns are analysed, including root cause and provide input to the Scrum team for improvement opportunities and analysing changes and assess testing requirements and provide estimates to facilitate effective planning.
- Interrogating the quality of software delivery, this includes ways of working, the design and architecture of the features the team are implementing from the perspective of functional and non-functional testing.
About you -
- Experience as a technical QA Engineer who specialises in thorough test analysis and the automated testing of applications and APIs - using all the tools and methods at your disposal.
- You'll understand, and have experience with, a breadth of testing types and techniques, with experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills - an understanding of architecture and business requirements, and an ability to drive conversations around quality with product owners and business customers.
- You'll be able to follow an evolving test strategy based on the system architecture, and the governance and guidelines around the software testing life cycle.
- Define and implement BDD-structured automated API tests within an existing automation framework.
- Experience of working using the Agile methodology.
