Telemarketing Business Development Executive
6-month fixed term contract with the potential of becoming permanent.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Telemarketing Business Development Executive to join the team here at Reed Professional Services.
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and energetic Telemarketing Business Development Executive (T-BDE) to work with our identified database of prospective clients with the objective of identifying new business opportunities. This is typically delivered via telemarketing, to deliver appointments and generate new business leads.

You will be targeted on identifying and winning new business opportunities with businesses in the identified sectors, achieved through engaging with active telemarketing, setting appointments for the Director or Delivery leaders, and developing relationships with potential clients to gain new or additional business for the Reed Professional Services.
The role comes with excellent prospects for advancement. In addition to the basic salary, there is a commission structure and the opportunity to grow within the role to a client executive, liaising directly with clients and stakeholders and managing the client relationship and the end-to-end sales cycle.
Main responsibilities will include:
- To book new sales appointments and enable Solutions Directors to achieve their targeted meet criteria thru' targeted phone campaigns.
- To make a targeted number of outbound calls per day, which will include cold calling and follow-ups in order to book the required target of sales appointments.
- Outbound telemarketing sales using a provisioned database of contacts alongside developing a personal network.
- Setting appointments for sales and client solutions, generating leads, and supporting the larger Business Development and marketing initiatives.
- Work with Solutions Director to convert leads to new business.
- Manage, maintain and report on the internal CRM as defined.
- Identify prospective client to sell RPS solutions where applicable.
- Manage weekly diary of RM's by entering appointments
The skills and requirements for this role include:
- A consultative approach speaking with prospects and an ability to effectively fact find without being too pushy.
- Considerable experience as a telemarketing executive or a telesales business development executive within an IT staffing, Consulting or IT recruitment ecosystem.
- Commercial and business awareness along with excellent verbal and written communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a sales or marketing-related training program is ideal.
- Capacity to remain respectful and calm when speaking to prospects and clients.
- Proficient in the use of a range of computer packages, including MS Excel, MC Word.
- Prior knowledge of working with a CRM or sales management tools.
- Demonstrating a willingness to learn.
- An excellent and persuasive communicator at all levels.
- Experience of basic business development concepts and has undergone sales training.
This will be a hybrid role, with 2-3 days working in the office.
