Job Opportunity: Experienced Pega System Architect (Pega 8.3)
We are seeking a skilled Pega Certified Systems Architect (PCSA) with significant commercial experience in Pega 8.3 to join our dynamic development team. The role involves accelerating and modernizing business processes, with a primary focus on collaborative development of the Case Management System (CMS).
About the Team & Department: Our team operates in a multi-functional, collaborative, and agile culture, with a strong emphasis on test-driven and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Location: We offer a hybrid work approach within the UK only, with occasional on-site collaboration in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Main Outcomes & Objectives:
- Enhancements for newly on-boarded registration casework.
- Resolving technical debt and simplifying application and processes.
- Moving Transfer of Part (TP) casework to the CMS.
- Transitioning from on-premises to Cloud.
- Improving reporting data generated by CMS for Business Intelligence & Analytics.
- Researching migration of Jira casework onto the Pega CMS solution.
- Researching migration of Legacy Pega casework onto the Pega CMS solution.
Additional Services:
- Enhancing and supporting existing CMS products.
- Developing products complying with non-functional software requirements.
- Packaging and deployment adhering to documented release processes and standards.
- Actively participating in team events, leading with specialist knowledge when required.
- Troubleshooting and fixing production problems.
- Using collaborative development practices such as pairing and mobbing techniques.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Pega Certified Systems Architect (PCSA) with significant commercial experience in Pega 8.3.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders, understand context, and focus on delivering value.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Advocate for improving processes with a BPM solution.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of pair programming and/or mobbing.
- Familiarity with Pega 'built-on' technologies, including Java, JavaScript, JSON, and JSP.
- Experience with version control systems (eg, GitLab).
- Human-centered, research-driven, inclusive design practices.
- Experience in automated testing with Cypress.
- Introduction of new or improved processes in development environments.
- Experience of data migration in Pega using an ETL model.
