Dublin - 12+ contract - €45-48 an hour

My high profile large-scale IT consultancy is looking for a Data Center Technician to work in their Dublin office.

Job requirements

• Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs start-ups and shutdowns (eg, racks, hard drives, Switches)
• Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies that grounding, staging, labelling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks
• Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Decommissions hardware for simple changes and refreshes ie memory upgrades, OS rebuilds

Essential skills

• Knowledge of computer hardware, Servers, and components.
• 1+ years' experience supporting IT equipment
• Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
• Previous Data Center experience
