HSBC are currently searching for a Finance Reporting Control Analyst to join their team in Whiteley who shall be responsible for the financial reporting and control (HSBC Group, statutory and regulatory reporting) for a life insurance entity, retail insurance business and other smaller business areas. The main purpose of this role is to support the team in all areas of financial reporting and control.
Role Purpose
Providing accounting, reporting and financial control support;
Support the team in completing accounting processes, reconciliations, reporting and other control activities as required;
Support for updating and refining processes and clearance of outstanding workloads;
Undertake UAT.
Knowledge and Experience/Qualifications
Part or Fully Qualified accountant;
Understanding of the UK insurance market and associated statutory and regulatory reporting;
Awareness of the main methods/techniques used for accounting within insurance;
Strong attention to detail;
Able to understand and manage data, in particular spreadsheet based data
Relationship management to influencing business partners/stakeholders including the Board.
Systems: Microsoft Office (in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
Strong communicator & strong presentation skills;
Ability to support on projects.
Desirable skills
Knowldege of IFRS and UK GAAP would be beneficial
