Robert Walters is working in partnership with a multinational market leading solution and services business. They provide a range of services across global sites covering Europe, Americas, and Asia.

Due to extensive growth, they are keen to appoint a SOC Lead for a home-based role, paying between £600 to £700 per day Inside IR35.

SOC Lead (Home Based): Duties

• Responsible for overseeing operational security/enhancing cyber security environment
• Lead a team of analysts, work with IT & Security to identify/mitigate security risks
• Drive team performance - provide guidance, mentoring and training
• Threat Detection and Mitigation - Identify, analyse, respond to incidents
• Develop/Implement incident response plans
• Lead forensic duties - Host and network based log analysis, triage of incidents
• Carryout root case analysis, remediation and reports
• Conduct vulnerability assessments
• Work with security testing and architecture teams
• Monitor compliance with security policies, regulations and standards
• Create DR Plans and contingency plans

SOC Lead (Home Based): Experience

• Knowledge of MDR services and integration with internal services
• Security frameworks, standards, regs (NIST, ISO27001)
• Incident response, documenting processes and procedures - log analysis, malware, root case
• Threat hunting
• Security tools - MDR, Firewall, SIEM, IDS/IPS
• Utilise core tooling - Sophos MDR, AV, OpenSearch, Rapid 7 InsightVM

The contract opportunity for SOC Lead is a home-based role, 6 month rolling contract paying between £600 to £700 per day Inside IR35.
