Treasury Accountant
A leading, customer focused Financial Services business is looking to hire a Treasury Accountant to join the Treasury Operations team.
The Treasury Ops team operates within a diverse and forward-thinking business meaning this is a role that will constantly challenge and give scope for personal growth and development.
You'll work closely with Finance and Treasury teams to accurately deliver Treasury accounting process. We're looking for someone who will use their technical knowledge and experience to improve existing processes and reporting whilst establishing new processes where required.
This is an exciting time to get involved; we are investing in the systems, people, and processes in Treasury Operations. This role will allow the opportunity for you to provide technical expertise and support to deliver the implementation of a new Treasury management system.
You will support in the delivery of highly regulated activity in a demanding area of the business.
This will involve but is not limited to:
- Provide oversight and review the Treasury accounting process, improving existing and developing and implementing new processes where required.
- Delivery of Treasury reporting process, through planning, accuracy and completeness of information in line with Group reporting timelines
- Month and year end reporting for areas of treasury including forex, interest, group cash, intercompany funding
- Accurate provision of management and statutory reporting for the Group's special purpose vehicles.
- Provide technical guidance to support the set up of the general ledger structure within the treasury management system and maintain this on an ongoing basis
- Provide technical knowledge in support of the delivery of the intercompany funding process
About you
- Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACT or equivalent)
- IFRS accounting knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of the design and operation of internal controls in financial services organisations
- Proven Treasury Finance experience within Banking, Financial Services or from a consultancy background
- Deep knowledge of treasury ledger work and exposure to wholesale banking products
- A confident and articulate communicator, with excellent communication skills, able to explain complex topics to non specialist
- Able to effectively network, build and manage positive relationships both within treasury, and outside treasury, cross-functionally
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to identify, manage and engage key stakeholders
