IT Helpdesk Support - Manchester
On-site support agent based UK Manchester office only, the role is 08:00 - 16:30 UK time with 1 hour for lunch (you can choose when you take this break but be sensible. ie not at the start or end of the day).
Main duties are as follows:
- Look after the users in the Manchester office with any requests/incidents they have and manage their issues via the Atera ticket system. Checking desk setups are correct ie docking stations are powered on and working properly, webcams and any peripherals are working, meeting rooms are working as expected, any printer issues, if client end points have lost Wi-Fi etc.
- Manage the setup of equipment for the new users (and leavers) to the business in Manchester office and Glasgow office (no need to visit Glasgow, there is no on-site support in that office, just equipment setup in that can be done from Manchester. Setup includes laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, resetting passwords and logging in to test accounts/emails work. Also testing a couple of LOB applications work before day one. Working with the Freestyle team to ensure all equipment and accounts are ready for day 1.
- Manage the stock levels in the Manchester office, ensuring you have enough spare laptops, headsets, mobile phones, SIM cards are available for new joiners and you have a few replacements in case an existing user requires any replacements.
- Attending meetings arranged by Freestyle or Cellnex where required.
- Being helpful and approachable, pointing users in the right direction if they approach you with a non-IT related query.
- Having a can do attitude.
Other information:
No onsite parking there are car parks really close, there is a cashless NCP car park.
You drive in and out as required. The tariffs are there for you to view. Nearest train station is 10 minute walk from the office.
