ODLL Business Partner| 4 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (Edinburgh/Glasgow) | Starting ASAP

Job Description:

Harvey Nash's Public Sector client has an exciting opportunity to join a team supporting the learning and development needs of a range of Health & Social Care professionals. As Business Partner you will offer a responsive and versatile practitioner service to our internal customers.

You will provide effective specialist input to a broad range of core, bespoke and innovative interventions, with a focus on relationship building, to support the implementation of the Organisational Development (OD Plan) and contribute to the development as a learning organisation. Working in partnership with multiple stakeholders you will offer a key contribution towards the continuous performance improvement and broader national development agenda.

You will require a clear understanding of detailed theoretical and practical knowledge to support the development of others and demonstrate leadership responsibilities. You will take initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems with a focus on supporting and developing the workforce.

Main Duties:

  • Designing and facilitating a range of learning to develop teams and individuals including operational support for meaningful appraisal, essential learning and line management development
  • Develop and support offer a range of staff initiatives including wellbeing, leadership, recognition, large all-staff learning events and more
  • Researching and preparing corporate policies, based on an understanding of national and organisational requirements and practical management needs
  • Supporting formal monitoring and reporting processes for internal and external stakeholders by designing surveys, analysing data, and producing reports
  • Effective utilisation of the department's frameworks and processes for ensuring the quality and impact of all programmes, projects and services
  • Supporting departmental operational planning, and participating in the departments commissioning process for ad hoc development requests to ensure appropriate use of department resources and alignment with NES priorities
  • Supporting the implementation of national and local policies and initiatives related to OD, Leadership and Education Development in support of national health and care priorities

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A broad understanding of current health, social care and political agendas
  • Experience facilitating/delivering a range of learning to different stakeholders in different formats
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and a creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Proven expertise in accessing, analysing and presenting a wide range of complex information to a range of audiences
  • Ability to manage projects/programmes/initiatives at various stages of development
  • Experience of communicating and influencing across teams and of giving presentations at local/national levels
  • Experience of Learning Needs Analysis using established skills frameworks
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships and networks, securing funding and other forms of resource and support
  • Understanding and use of contemporary education development approaches
  • Understanding and effective application of contemporary theories/topics of Organisational Culture, Change and People Management
  • Understanding and effective application of contemporary theories of leadership development
  • Effective participation in and understanding of Objective Setting, Personal Development Planning and Review, and use of online systems
  • Confident working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, in particular MS Teams and SharePoint
