Engineering Manager - Up to £90,000

Method Resourcing have partnered with a London based IP and Software company who are dedicated to improving data compression through their portfolio of innovative, disruptive and game-changing software that harnesses the power of AI and parallel processing.

They are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their newly developed Codec Integrations team to serve as integrations manager.

The integrations team have 2 major focuses within the company:

• Development and maintenance of reference and open-source integration of Codecs, principally LCEVC, into video encoding tools and video players.
• Work with or for customers on Codec integration projects, this can vary from proof-of-concept player integrations for OTT players through to integrations exercising the video and display capabilities of the latest VR headsets.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Software Engineering and leading teams, as well as the following specific experience:

• Extensive experience working end-to-end of the SDLC
• The ability to write high-quality and efficient software using C++
• Excellent communication skills. Verbal for leading your team, mentoring and nurturing Junior Engineers, as well as guiding and listening to Senior Engineers. Written for producing written reports suitable for consumption by both internal and external stakeholders
• Experience working in Agile environments, as well as the use of task management and tracking tools including Jira

The role comes with a salary of up to £90,000 DOE as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
