The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to assist our client with the support of roadside technology across the UK.

You will occupy a key role in the support function, handling a mix of Software, hardware and systems testing duties and performing in-depth troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex issues within target SLAs.

This role would suit an individual with a varied IT support background across open source operating systems and cloud technologies, as well as some exposure to Scripting

Skills and Experience:

• A background in supporting software and hardware and undertaking systems testing
• A good understanding of network solutions (IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms, such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Some Scripting knowledge across technologies like Python, C++, Shell, Bash, etc.
• Any understanding of supporting electronic devices is highly beneficial (CCTV, ANPR, VSAT, Radar, sensors, etc.)
• Ability to pass a background security check

Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform project engineering activities including installation, testing and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure
• Identifying and recommending improvements to systems and processes
• Provide thorough and efficient work to deliver excellent customer solutions, with an emphasis on quality resolutions
• Prepare written specifications, technical reports, handover documentation and other project documentation as required
