Our client is a leading technology consultancy, working closely with government agencies to deliver innovative and user-centric digital services. We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Interaction Designer to join our Government GDS project team on a 3-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension.
Role Overview: As an Interaction Designer, you will play a key role in shaping user experiences for government digital services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and optimize user interactions, ensuring seamless and intuitive user journeys. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact citizens' lives positively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, UX designers, and developers to create user-centered designs for government digital services.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather valuable insights for design improvements.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Ensure designs align with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and accessibility requirements.
- Work closely with developers to implement designs and provide guidance during the development process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Interaction Designer, preferably on government GDS projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and accessibility guidelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing is a plus.
