We are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Specialist to work within the public sector.

Location: Hybrid working- London

About the role: You will be responsible for designing services in the estate and the associated processes, create documentation, change management and root cause analysis as well as providing technical leadership across the teams.

Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will hold active SC clearance and have a proven Principal Infrastructure Specialist background, with the following skills/experience:

• Experience in writing business cases for technical tools and solutions and articulating the need for senior leadership.
• Knowledge and experience in administration and automation of Windows Server and Linux operating systems and applications.
• Knowledge of networking design, preferably with equipment from a range of different product vendors.
• Experience and hands-on experience of the design and implementation of Wireless and Wired networks.
• Experience and hands-on experience of the design and implementation of security devices such as VPN Gateways and clients, Firewalls and Unified Threat Management Devices.
• Experience in the management and design of end user device builds, with a focus on security controls.
• Experience of using infrastructure as code to setup and configure systems and services.
• AWS experience and knowledge including Landing Zone architecture, Route53, VPC, EC2, RDS, S3 and Backup (Desirable).
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud directory services such as Azure AD (Desirable).
