Established in 2005, with over 1800 employees around the world - they are embarking on ambitious growth plans and scaling their software platforms to meet this demand, and are now seeking a Platform Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team.

The Role

• Build and operate a platform used by development and operations teams to provision their infrastructure and run their applications in the cloud and on-premise.
• Deliver a continuous integration and deployment platform that integrates seamlessly with the development tools already in use and ensure its effectiveness to delivery software rapidly.
• Improve the developer experience, facilitate developers in building cloud infrastructure and deploying their applications free of impediments.
• Collaborate with teams on architectural design and cloud best practices.
• DevOps advocate to educate and promote DevOps practices across technology.
• Stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.

Skills and Experience:

• Broad technical knowledge with a background in Linux Engineering or Development/Automation.
• Looking for 5-10 years experience in DevOps/Platform/System Engineering roles
• Proven experience in working closely with development and operations teams throughout the SDLC, implemented CI/CD effectively and deployed into Cloud environments with IAC.
• Worked in a fast-moving Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban.
• Considerable experience in deploying and running applications securely in AWS, familiarity with cloud native tooling and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency in writing, executing and testing with programming languages Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
• Monitoring in the cloud using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana.
