Our client a global technology leader is currently looking for a Release and Capacity Manager.

Capacity Management:-

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Ensure that the right tools and processes are in place to deliver effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across all Finance Systems core applications
  • Responsible for capacity planning and for development of these services in the organisation
  • Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements

Release and Deployment Management:-

  • Work with the Delivery Managers to help define and maintain a release strategy for all Finance Systems core applications.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
  • Work with the Delivery Managers to plan and conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, Go/No-Go reviews
  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across all internal and external teams which may be involved in these releases

Configuration Management:-

  • Maintain the list of all environments, the version of the releases and the version of the data on each of the environments
  • Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures
  • Perform Configuration Management Requests as assigned, including CMDB updates

Technical Skills Required:-

  • General knowledge of software development principles, database management, data warehouse, Middleware, and server configuration (experience of Microsoft SQL Server technologies is beneficial).
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Has a passion for customer service and understands the value of delivering quality application services.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior management and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
  • This includes representatives of other IT teams, business units, and external 3rd-party service providers
