Our client a global technology leader is currently looking for a Release and Capacity Manager.
Capacity Management:-
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Ensure that the right tools and processes are in place to deliver effective capacity planning and performance monitoring across all Finance Systems core applications
- Responsible for capacity planning and for development of these services in the organisation
- Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements
Release and Deployment Management:-
- Work with the Delivery Managers to help define and maintain a release strategy for all Finance Systems core applications.
- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
- Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
- Work with the Delivery Managers to plan and conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, Go/No-Go reviews
- Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across all internal and external teams which may be involved in these releases
Configuration Management:-
- Maintain the list of all environments, the version of the releases and the version of the data on each of the environments
- Perform operational activities as defined by Configuration Management policies and procedures
- Perform Configuration Management Requests as assigned, including CMDB updates
Technical Skills Required:-
- General knowledge of software development principles, database management, data warehouse, Middleware, and server configuration (experience of Microsoft SQL Server technologies is beneficial).
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Has a passion for customer service and understands the value of delivering quality application services.
- Comfortable interacting with senior management and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
- This includes representatives of other IT teams, business units, and external 3rd-party service providers
