Leading client in the IoT space now requires an Embedded software engineer to join their technical development team, who produce and deliver innovative and high-end wireless monitoring solutions which detect movement in key infrastructure assets.

This engineer will develop reliable firmware components for our clients' products in a Linux development environment, contributing to various aspects of the firmware design, testing and review process.

Key skills and experience:

• Solid experience developing firmware for Embedded Linux or a Real Time operating system (RTOS) using C.
• The ability to function well within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrable experience working in multi-developer software projects using a version control system (eg SVN, git, Mercurial)
• Experience using at least one modern Scripting language for experimentation and tooling tasks.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques.
• Experience in electronic hardware design and knowledge of IoT concepts (Desirable).

This role provides a salary range of 50-70k (dependant on previous experience) plus an excellent benefits package.

In terms of office location, this role is based out of Milton Keynes with three days per week on-site and two days remote.
