About Us: Our client is a leading player in the energy infrastructure sector, committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking a Document Controller with expertise in SharePoint and BIM Strategy to support a major energy infrastructure project.
Job Overview:
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for establishing an initial SharePoint-based solution with data tagging, organization, and workflows. You will then support the Information Manager in developing a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Strategy for the Xlinks energy infrastructure project. This is a critical role that will contribute to the efficient management and organization of project documents and information.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Implementation: Stand up an initial SharePoint-based solution for document management, ensuring data tags, organization, and workflows are tailored to the project's needs.
Data Tagging and Organization: Develop and maintain data tagging standards to ensure the accurate classification and organization of project documents.
Workflow Management: Design, implement, and manage document approval workflows to streamline the document control process.
Collaboration: Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure efficient document exchange and information flow.
BIM Strategy Development: Support the Information Manager in formulating a BIM Strategy for the Xlinks project, ensuring the integration of BIM principles and best practices.
Compliance: Ensure that document control processes adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in document control, particularly with SharePoint-based solutions.
Familiarity with data tagging, organization, and workflow management.
Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in the energy infrastructure sector is a plus.
Contract Details:
This is an initial 3-6 month contract with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. The role is classified as outside IR35, and the compensation will be determined based on market rates, with negotiations to be conducted accordingly.
Location:
It is expected that the candidate should be open to travel with the UK and potentially internationally, although most of the work will be remote-based.
