Graduate Product Verification Engineer - 1 Year Industry Experience - Engineering - RF, Spectrum Analysers, Oscilloscopes & Power Meters

Job Title - Graduate Product Verification Engineer
Location - Paignton Devon

The Candidate - This role would suit an Engineering Graduate with 1 year + industry experience in a Product Verification & Test environment. You would be joining our clients Product Verification Team, based in Paignton, Devon. This is a fully on-site role so candidates must be willing to commute to the office daily. The role requires a candidate with hands on experience with lab test equipment, RF spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and power meters etc. This could have been obtained when carrying our practical work as part of your studies, or hands on in the lab within industry. Knowledge of phase modulation (BPSK, QPSK, etc.), spread spectrum, signal detection, signal and interference analysis, baseband filtering, data formatting, is essential.

Duties -

  • Setup and perform complex test procedures in both current and next generation positioning solutions.
  • Generate and update technical documentation.
  • Work with Automation team to analyse, recommend, manage and implement automation improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and find solutions to complex problems.

Requirements -

  • BA, BEng or HND in appropriate Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a Product Verification and Test environment.
  • Experience in using lab test equipment, RF spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and power meters etc.
  • Knowledge of phase modulation (BPSK, QPSK, etc.), spread spectrum, signal detection, signal and interference analysis, baseband filtering, data formatting, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Team player with a highly collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Eager to learn new technologies, self-motivated, energetic approach.
  • Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner.
  • Skilled level of MS Office applications.

Desirable but not essential:-

  • Knowledge of digital communications, RF system analysis, FEC coding, and communications engineering.
  • Established technical understanding of GNSS and related technology (eg 2 or more years in related industry).
  • Experience in programming/design/Scripting languages including Labview, Matlab, Python, and with Unix and Windows operating systems.
