Harvey Nash are working with a finance focused organisation, committed to leveraging data management and analytics to drive informed business decisions.

They are looking for an ambitious Junior Data Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is Hybrid in nature, being onsite 3 days a week in the South East of England. You will be responsible for supporting the design, construction, instillation, testing and maintenance of highly scalable data management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining and optimising and updating Azure SQL databases and Databricks environment.
• Conducting data profiling, cleansing, transformation and loading into data models.
• Continuously learn and grow with emerging technologies and industry best practices to remain competitive.

Experience required:

• Up to one year of experience in Data Engineering role.
• Good knowledge of Azure SQL.
• Exposure to Databricks.
• Familiarity with Python, Scala or other programming languages.
