Network Engineer

• Up to £49,000
• Discretionary bonus
• Coventry based

We are working with a major national client in the finance industry who are looking to hire a Network Engineer to join their existing team of engineers and voice engineers in handling BAU work and projects.

The client are currently working replacing CheckPoint to Palo Alto as well as implementing AWS in to their environment which will be expected to come into effect at some point early next year.

There is an out of hours element, which is as and when needed, depending on the task. This could be once or twice a week. Which employees do get paid over time for. There is also an on-call rota which is approximately 1 week every 3 months, which will also count as over time pay

Key responsibilities

• Network monitoring
• Basic troubleshooting
• Assisting in network designs

Key Skills

• Checkpoint Firewalls
• Palo Alto Networking
• Cisco L2, L3 & L4 routing
• CCNA Level understanding (Funding and training available)
