My client, a FTSE100 organisation are recruiting for a JDA/Blue Yonder Data Engineer for an initial 4 month contract to start ASAP.

The key deliverables for this role are to design, implement, test & ELS a solution to move, import and update data into an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)/Data Lake which includes 39 tables of data complete with keys/indexes and various columns counts. Build 2 views using data from the 39 tables. Update process will be a mixture of full refreshes and delta refreshes depending on the table. You will also work with the business to ensure this data is accessible through a SQL client within a tool such as Snowflake. Deliver the solution for moving data as well as the solution for updating the data. Support with any questions relating to this EDP implementation.

Skills required:

• Very strong SQL skills.

• Experience in data warehousing, semantic layer definitions and scaled data consumption patterns.

• Working understanding of Kimball modelling techniques

• Minimum of 3 years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance

• Hands-on experience on using Snowflake.

• Hands on experience with data integration products like Talend, Pentaho Data Integration or Informatica, etc.

• Experience in cloud data engineering, preferably on AWS.

• Aptitude to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies relating to Business Intelligence and data analysis.
