IT Risk & Controls Lead (SOX)

This role will be responsible for designing the Risk & Control Matrix's for general IT controls across the group. Due to the international nature of this business, the candidate will need experience of implementing or auditing SOX controls.

Key Accountabilities;

* Complete Risk & Control Matrix (RACM)

* Agree Templates

* Review Controls/Write controls (Where required)/Write new processes (Where required)

* Design of Testing Schedule for Controls

* Testing of RACM & Continuous Improvement into BAU State

* Acting as a focal point and escalation route for IT colleagues; driving risk management culture and behaviours through regular interactions with people across the organisation

* Understanding and documenting the business risk profile and key processes for the relevant business area(s) and where appropriate, complete targeted risk assessments in conjunction with the business

* Acting as a dedicated Risk & Control Manager for the IT functions across the group helping the wider management team in implementing and embedding the Group's risk management framework

* Supporting improvements and the on-going maintenance of the Risk and Controls process, including the facilitation of IT Risk governance meetings with IT leads across the business to track progress of existing risks, identify new risks and determine controls.

* Responsible for implementing SOX controls

Ideal background/previous experience;

* A strong background working within Technology & Change Risk Managerial role previously, specifically within Asset Management

* Working knowledge of risk frameworks previously

* Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately

* Good analytical skills including analysing trends

* Ability to generate recommendations to senior stakeholders

Contract Details;

Budget - £500per day - £650per day (Inside IR35)

Working arrangements - Hybrid, mainly remote but some flex required to get on site in the Midlands once a week/fortnight depending on exp.

Length of contract - 3m initial, possible ext of 3m
